Sterilized Millet

White Millet sourced locally from Country Feeds in Aldergrove, British Columbia.

4 lbs of sterilized Millet packed in a 0.2 micron filter bag, ready for inoculation. Sterilization gives you the best chance to avoid contamination by molds, yeast, or bacterial growth. Using millet instead of rye grain also reduces your chances of contamination since rye can harbour ancient molds that can survive the sterilization process. This product can be used as a blank slate to create a grain spawn of a species of your choosing. You can inoculate this bag with one of our agar cultures, grain spawn or liquid cultures. Once the grain is inoculated you can add it to a wood chip bed in your garden or inoculate up to 15 sterilized substrate bags.
